Stayed longer than my Visitor Visa 6 month, Restore Status (5708)

Good evening,

Hope everyone is doing well.

After some honest and straight-up answers as I'm in a bit of a state of panic.

So my (brief) story is, I arrived in late October 2020 on a visitor visa with my Canadian common-law partner and our daughter from the UK.
In January 2021 I applied for an inland Work Permit and also alongside a Permanent Resideceny, Spousal Sponsorship.

I have yet to hear about either the work permit or PR.

I have to now apply to extend my stay as a visitor(5708), I'm presuming online will be the best and quickest? Any advice on this form would be greatly appreciated.

Is this going to delay my other visas?

You have implied status from the OWP so no need to restore unless your application gets returned

Yes you remain a visitor but you have implied status given your OWP application so you haven't lost your status.

Is there any harm in sending off the form, apart from spending the $200? I'm really anxious right now.

But I do trust what you say, it's more maybe peace of mind? But if it won't change anything I won't.

You aren't out of status so there is nothing to restore. Perhaps if other people confirm you may be more comfortable. @scylla @YVR123 @Naturgrl others?

I believe OP is under implied status (as visitor) with the OWP that's sent with the inland sponsorship application.

Only if the application is returned as incomplete, OP then need to worry about restoring the status. I am not sure if it's OK to restore when OP is not offically out of status...

Ok, I shall hold fire. I should know within the next 6 weeks by the sounds of it if I get an OWP.
