]Hi, guys please help me. .Can someone tell me that after landing in canada, how long do I have to stay there minimum? When can I come back ? As my med is expiring soon so I m planning to go to Canada before expiration for few days and come back , wind up things here and then go back again on permanent basis. Please answer my questions.

You can go back immediately. I went back home 2 weeks later after my landing and came back 1.5 years after that. You just have to comply with the 730 or so days out of 5 years to meet your residency obligation :)

You shouldn't leave Canada before you receive your PR card, because all the permits (work/study) and visa you have before landing will automatically be cancelled upon landing. The only way to be able to re-enter Canada after landing is with your PR card. It currently takes around 3 months after you land before you have the PR card in your mail.

You can do whatever you want, just make sure you have your PR card when doing so. If thats not an option, contact CIC and ask them for advise and let us know on the forum how it worked out.

There is no need or requirement to wait until you have your PR card before you leave Canada. Many people leave Canada before they have their PR cards and return with no issue. If you are visa exempt - you can return on your passport alone. If you are non-visa exempt, someone can mail your card to you outside of Canada or you can apply for a Travel Document. Again, there are no issues leaving Canada without your PR card.

While you can leave before you received your PR card and only leaving for a week, if you are non-visa exempt, that week stay will not be a week. You will have to apply for a travel document to fly back to Canada. How quickly you can get your travel document depends on what country you are applying in.
