You can apply after 3 years of being in Canada

All the information you could ever want officially can easily be found on the ITCC website but basically you need to show you have spent 3 years physically in Canada in the 5 years preceding an application for citizenship.

As a PR you are of course free to come and go from Canada but citizenship days must always be days physically in Canada to count, the 3 years do not have to be continuous
