Yes, your evidence of common law needs to date back 12 months.

Hi, I understand we need proof that 12 mos of living together, we have that for the lease agreement. However for bank statements and insurance it was just a few months ago. Is this okay for statutory declaration?

What else do you have that shows the 12 months? Generally you want to have more than just the lease agreement (i.e. several pieces of evidence that show the 12 months). I'm not sure you can say yes on the statuatory declaration if your bank statements and insurance don't go back the full 12 months.

We have lease agreement, individual bank statements with dates more than 12 months, travels together inland and abroad, letters of support from families, shared expenses and transfers to each other to pay rent and groceries.

My analogy is that when you live together that doesn’t mean you trust to open a joint account in the beginning, it builds trust and growth. Took as after 5 mos to decide okay we open a joint account as well as establish that we are each other’s beneficiary.

I’ve asked two immigration consultants and they said it’s okay as long as we have the lease agreements and other proof. The notary also supported that there is no 12 months rule for banks SOA and insurance.

I’m just asking in this post if others have similar experience or have had difficulties

Ah - you are fine in that case. 100% agree the bank accounts don't have to be joint. They just need to show the shared address for 12+ months.
