Hi
I am a Canadian citizen living outside Canada applying to sponsor my Australian common-law partner. In the country specific section of the document checklist it states that we must supply at least two statutory declarations from individuals with knowledge of our relationship. Has anyone found a form for this? I would have thought that CIC would have supplied a form similar to IMM 5409 F.

Thanks for your help

You don't need a special form. Your family/friends can write a letter since when they've known you and how they are related to you. They must mention when they met both of you at the same time, have to refer to you as common-law partners (not boyfriend and girlfriend) and confirm that you live together. They should mention that your relationship is ongoing and genuine.

And they should provide their full name and address.

In the end they need to get these letters notarized.
