Start own business to get PR? (Ontario)

Is it possible to start own business while studying or after studies in ontario and be eligible for PR?

Is it the same, work for 1 year (now in own company?) and apply for PR?

Self-employed work experience doesn't count as work experience for CEC. So no - this won't work if you plan to apply for PR under Canadian Experience Class. For Ontario PNP you need a job offer from an employer - again, self employment won't qualify.
