Stamp on passport with 6-month period at border.

Hi all,

I have a friend recently landed as a visitor (his visitor status is linked to his partner). At the border, he got a stamp on his passport with Oct. 15. His visitor status is valid for 2 years. Does it means he needs to leave by Oct. 15 or by his visitor visa expire date?

Yes. TRV is valid for 2 years but doesn’t mean you can stay that long. Friend was given the maximum length you can stay as a visitor which is 6 months.
