Spouse work permit problem

My PGWP will be expired on this June but my gf has another 3-year PGWP and she is planning to apply the spouse work permit for me.

However, the previous work permit me and my gf submitted stated as single and I am afraid that the immigration officer will refuse to issue me the spouse work permit.

What can I do?

Are you living together in Canada and have you lived together for at least a year continuously? Can you provide hard proof that you have lived together for at least one year (e.g. joint rental agreements, joint utility bills and bank accounts, etc.)? If you've lived together for at least one year continuously and can prove it, I would go ahead and apply.

We do have a old rental lease agreement and auto insurance. However my gf applied her visa with a common law declaration stating our conjugal relationship starting on 2014 Jan. The thing is we supposed to claim common law relationship in our work permits/visa application but we did not since we did not know what was common law relationship until last year.

It will be up to CIC if they accept your application as common law partners. You might as well apply and see what happens.
