OK, I just finished filling out the application and was directed to the check list page. Boy, now I understand why so many have declined the ITA in the past. There are so many supporting files needed!
About spouse working experience, I am not claiming any points on it and it would be a hassle to get 5,6 reference letters from her past employers. Do I really need to get all these are has anyone tried to attach a letter of explanation saying I am not claiming any points and I am not going to provide these?

People only ever understand something when they experience it themselves. :)

As regards your spouse's work experience (assuming none of it was acquired in Canada), I recommend you remove her complete work history and leave it blank and then you won't be prompted for documents. Fill it in her Personal history though. That ways, the system won't prompt you for these documents but it might ask you to upload PCC(s) which is usual.

And before you ask, this is not misrepresentation. CIC is perfectly fine with you choosing not to disclose something pertaining to your (and your spouse's) education and work history.

All the best!

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know whether the situation has changed for now. So I can delete all my wife's working experience since there is no points for her? I will still put them in the personal history.

Have you received your ITA?

Yes, her foreign work experience adds no points to your application. Add it in the personal history section AND to be safe write a letter of explanation regarding the fact that you made the change after receiving your ITA and that it doesn't change in any way your CRS. You can say that you do not have the proper documents, it's not an issue as her foreign work experience adds no value to your application.

Cheers ;)
