hi,
I am a canadian citizen and I have applied for PR of my wife. the file under process. My wife has a son from her previous marrige. He is a Canadian citizen. right now he is in Grade 9 studying in India. we plan to continue his grade 10 in Canada.
The concern is my wife's PR approval, could take till October 2019. My son's school strats in August 2019.
Can I apply for my wife's visit visa so that she could accomapny my minor son to Canada and return after the admission to the school. She would wait in India for the PR approval.
Is it advisable to mention these facts in the invitation letter or request letter to the visa office?

advise please. Thanks

Yes - she can certainly apply for a TRV - however none of us can tell you if she will be approved. It can be quite difficult to get a TRV approved when someone has a Canadian spouse and PR in progress since this demonstrates they aren't really a tourist but looking to come to Canada long term. If you apply, recommend your wife try to include evidence that shows ties to her home country (e.g. property, job, assets).
