I applied spouse sponsorship on nov.2016 with workpermit. I havent heard anything for 4 months and then figured out Im out of status since my visitor visa expired on feb.2017. So cic told me to restore my status. After that they said they are processing it and then on May 9th, requested additionla documents for my criminal record in my original country since i have 1 summary conviction for traffic accident 7 years ago. I sent it to them and they said they are doing background chek for that. How long do you think it will take? Why did they request then earier if they needed? It is rediculars that they havent done anything for 4 monthes
