Spouse visa information

Hello All,
I am pursuing my masters in one of the universities in ontario. I arrived in Jan 2018 only.
I need your advice regarding spouse sponsorship programme in canada. I want to sponsor my spouse on Open work permit visa. Can I do that and if yes then what is the best time to start the file (after 1st semester or I can go ahead now). And If no, then what are the alternative ways to sponsor my spouse in canada??

Recommend you post the the International Students section of the forum. Short answer is that yes - your spouse can apply for an OWP now.
