Im sponsoring my spouse and Im waiting for my approval from CIC.My Question is if I got the approval is it okay for me to go out of canada?Im a PR..Im sponsoring my spouse by outland.Im planning to visit her on May 2011 for a month.

No problem to visit her. In case you stay more either you should be back before her arrival or travel together with her once she get her visa.

Hold on . . . as a PR you are required to be residing in Canada in order to be eligible to sponsor so, while a short visit is probably okay, I disagree with wilson that you only have to be back before her arrival, or travel together with her once she gets her visa. If they discover that you are not in Canada, they can refuse the application based on a non-eligible sponsor . . . even after you were initially approved!

Is 6 weeks visit okay? I called immigration canada twice and they both answered me YES I can go home to visit her. Now Im confused.. I dont know who will I believe.

What robsluv said is correct, only Canadians can live outland and sponsor a spouse, not PR status. You can go and visit her but for a short time only. But you have to continue to leave and work in Canada.
