sorry about that,ok,this is the situation,i got married in the philippines last Dec. 2010,and then i went back here in canada to start my husband's application, what i am asking is do i need to change my SURNAME in every documents i have like my Permanent resident card and passport before submitting the application to CRC?

Your are sponsoring your husband?

In any case, I would say no - but keep in mind that I'm just guessing - because even if you will be using your married name on the application forms, it would probably suffice to add a proof of name change to any document(s) you'll be using as a proof of PR status.

For sponsorship, I was married in September 2010 (I am the sponsor). I only got around to changing my driver's license before I sent in our application. But I used my married name. The applications do ask for your name before marriage as well so your documents will match up. So basically, I had a new lisence with married name, then passport and birth certificate were in my maiden name.

I haven't had any problems, but once the file is transferred to individual VO, I don't know if some are pickier than others.
