Spouse Sponsorship

Hi Everybody,

I am Canadian PR holder and have been in Canada for 3 months now and I recently went to India and got Married. Is there a way I can bring my spouse over here?

Please, let me know about this or any relevant details.

In order to sponsor your spouse for PR you must be living in Canada. You cannot sponsor your spouse for PR from outside of Canada.

Your spouse can try to apply for a TRV to accompany you back to Canada and stay in Canada as a tourist while the application is being processed. Unfortunately TRVs are not always approved. If your spouse's TRV is refused, then you will have to travel alone to Canada and apply to sponsor your spouse from Canada.

Yes, I am staying in Canada only at the moment, but my wife is based in India Presently. Now, all i need to do is to go ahead and sponsor her as my spouse, so that she can come here and live with me.
How much time does it takes to process the application .
