Hi,

1- I am sponsoring my husband and got my application package reviewed by a lawyer. The lawyer gave mostly good advice but he asked me to fill in a form titled "Supplementary Information for Pakistan Nationals." This form has things like Education, Personal History, Military Service declaration.

The thing is that this form is not listed at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp. The two forms listed there for Pakistan are 5536 (Authorization to Disclose Information) and Military Information (5546.) So I am not sure from where he got that other form which is not in update with the one's mentioned on CIC website. The lawyer insists that not filling up this form will make Islamabad return our application. Has anyone else filled in this form recently ?

2- Do Pakistan nationals need to do biometrics for Spousal applications. The lawyer insisted that we don't need to.

I don't know what you checked, but when I checked the CIC website for a Pakistan national applying for PR family class, the website said that biometrics are required.

Sorry mate I was guessing 4 India but YES you are right here is copy:-
If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo for all permanent resident applications, including:family class

No need to guess for a question like that, when it's super simple to check online. Anyone who comes here for information should know to double-check it against what CIC says, but we aren't helping any of our friends online here when we "guess" information that may result in an application rejection. Just spend the time to Google next time ;)

So upon the lawyer's instructions I paid only 1040$, so I guess I now need to pay for the 85$ for biometrics, Can I pay for it seperately and attach that with my application or is there anyother better route ?
