Spouse sponsorship - outside Canada

Hello everyone
I hope someone can help. We are sending the sponsorship application, we both live outside Canada. I am wondering when the application is approved and ready (supposedly it takes 1yr) is there a timeframe for us to move to Canada? Does anyone know? Thanks kn advance.

The website says, "Your sponsored relative must then arrive in Canada either with or before their family members, and within the validity period of the visas."

Does anyone know this validity period of the visa??

Typically 1 year from the time of the medical.

Seems like you are sponsoring your spouse as a Canadian citizen. One of the requirements will be to show intent to return to Canada when you receive the sponsorship. The expectation is that you will resettle in Canada relatively quickly not 6+ months from then.
