Spouse sponsorship from Bangladesh avoiding air travel

Hi,
I'm sponsoring my current wife from Bangladesh. My and my children from first marriage visited Bangladesh earlier this year and got engaged/religiously married with lots of guests.
The plan was to go back and do another big event with marriage legally.
Due to Covid-19 I can't/wont travel for now. I've called the immigration help line. They told me both husband and wife needed to married with physical presence.
Which means I have to travel back now?
The question is
I've plenty of evidence for all for ceremonies of our relationship which is already 4 year old. Question is there anyway I can avoid air-travel and get married virtually legally and sponsor my wife?

Proxy marriages are not recognized by IRCC. There is no way to virtually marry your wife and have IRCC accept this as a valid marriage.

If by any chance you have lived together continuously for at least one full year, then you can sponsor her as your common law partner.

Otherwise you need to wait until you get married together in person.

If you can, begin with dig a tunnel from Vancouver to the Island so that people don't need to be stranded in a ferry again for 7 hours!
