Spouse sponsorship application. Few questions.. pls help

Hello, I'm gathering all documents & filling out forms.
But have a few questions. Hopefully you guys can help me out.

Re: Generic Application Form (IMM0008):
Application details: Question 3: How many family members, including you are in this application? I don't have any children. My spouse is Canadian Citizen, should my answer be 1 (just me)?

Same form but this time under Dependents section: Should I put there my spouse (Canadian Citizen) ? What about my mother and sibling??

Re: Schedule A/ Background (IMM5669)
This form must be filled out by me (sponsored) and another one bt my spouse (sponsor)??

And last, which form is the now that should go with my application in order for them to use email as a method of communication instead of mail?

Yes your answer will be 1 on the form (But when linking your application to GCKey-this is way later but just so that you remember, you input it as 2 when they ask same question while linking). Again,1 on the form only.
I did not have a dependent section on the same form when I submitted. So I am not sure if its a new update on ur form. What does the question specifically ask?

5669 has to only be filled by the Principal Applicant (You). There is no form for email updates. If you have mentioned emails for both Sponsor and Principal Applicant wherever they asked on the forms, then they’ll send you email updates only and not mail.

An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to IRCC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

So you don’t need to add your spouse who is a Canadian citizen or parents and siblings (again not dependents according to spousal application). If you have kids who are neither PR or Canadian Citizens then you add them or if your wife had kids say from a previous marriage who again are neither PR or Canadian citizens, then you add them. You need to however mention your parents’ details in Schedule A form (IMM 5669) and your parents and siblings too in Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) compulsorily.
