Hello,
I was reading few threads and got worried when I noticed AOR timeframe is apparently almost 2 months currently.
Is it safe to apply for spouse sponsorship while my wife's visitor visa expire next month?
In other words, at what point would she have implied status, the moment application received at IRCC, or when AOR date pops up online?
Thank you very much,

applying for PR does NOT give implied status. IF you apply inland and include an app for OWP, she will have implied status. should the application be returned for any reason however, she will be out of status. i suggest applying to extend her stay before sending the app this way she is covered

Yes, OWP i forgot to mention. And yes, it might be other option to apply for extension..but that wasn't answer to my question really.
Let rephrase my question again;
Are we safe to assume implied status as long as application (with OWP) is delivered to immigration even when visa is expired?

Yes it will give you an implied status if you applied inland spousal sponsorship together with an open work permit assuming there is no additional request of documents or worst scenario a return of application for some reason (hopefully everything is in order on your application) so to be safe, even you sent your application already and now waiting for an AOR it is better and safe to still apply for an extension of your current visa especially, if you’re not sure how long it will take to received the AOR.
