Hello Friends
I am new to this forum but this forum has helped me immensely during my struggle through express entry for years. I got my PR last month and my medical expires on 2nd July,2019. I Got a PNP from Ontario.

My issue is I have my marriage planned for 18th April,2019. Now because I have been issued a PR, IRCC has said I contact them after I get married. I don't want to travel to Canada without my wife. I don't want we stay away for 14 months or so till all gets sorted.

I am planning to travel to Canada for a Month and get my PR card and come back. After I am back and married I will apply for my spouse Sponsorship from India.

I need to know if someone faced similar scenario and if there is a better alternative. Also If there is none than from outside Canada how much time did it take them to get their Spouse approved for PR.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions in advance guys.

This won't work.

You cannot apply for spousal sponsorship from India. You must be living in Canada to sponsor your spouse for PR and must continue living in Canada until the application is approved. Since you are a PR, this is mandatory. You can take a few short (2-3 weeks) trips outside of Canada. However if you spend too much time outside of Canada, the sponsorship application will be canceled.

If you do not wish to be separated from your spouse, the only option is to have your spouse apply for a TRV to come to Canada. Note that TRVs are often refused in these situations.

Is there any chance that if I get a court marriage and ask IRCC to add her name to my Visa before i get my PR card.
I know i am imaging stuff now but just to try this option.

If before July I get married, will IRCC add her as my spouse and let me fly with ber?

Have you landed in Canada yet and become a PR?

If not, then yes - you can get married before your PR visa expires and then add your spouse to your application. You will need to return the visa that has been issued to you and complete all of the paperwork to add your spouse to the application (including medical, PCCs, etc). Expect that it will take 4 or so months for IRCC to process your spouse's information and issue new PR visas. If you want more information about this - move over to the Express Entry section of the forum. This is where this topic is discussed.

Would make sure you have a typical marriage for your culture. A simple court marriage may be refused because it will be seen as a way to immigrate.

Oh , Actually My finacee is overseas for a office assignment so typical culture marriage would take while in planning and she travelling back in between will also take a lot of time.
Not sure how that would work out

Could you guide me how to approach this scenario? Who should I contact? drop an email to IRCC asking for her name addition? Or else.
