my case started processing in january 2010, and now 9 month period is over but still islamabad embassy didnt call me for interview. i m so upset . dnt have any idea how long it will take... can anybody help me....any information? :'(

Cases in Islamabad take from 8 to 14 months on average, so it is normal that you haven't been called for an interview yet.

Average time for Islamabad cases have been gone upto 12-18 months. And because of the backlog "skilled workers" applications are now processed in London. If its a female case its usually 12-15 months, male cases are taking up to 18 months may be more and thats according to the people who have filed applications in early/mid 2009. Go and follow the threads below for more info and details.

Tanhayi Welcome on the board.Well buddy that 9 month word is a standerd words from them and that is based on July 2008 to July 2009 applications sample.
I am also with you with Jan 2010 AOR & eCAS started processing.Cheers

Now we know why CHC-ISB take long time to process file, please read below.

Forced Marriages, child brides, polygamy and arranged marriages between first cousins are most of the problems that Canadian immigration officials in Pakistan have to deal with.

The revelations are contained in a 26-page report prepared by Canadian officials working out of the immigration and visa office in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

“With few exceptions, the Islamabad spousal reunification program involves Muslim proxy marriages arranged by the families, the vast majority of which take place between first cousins”.

Polygamy is most common among wealthy Pakistani families trying to come to Canada, officials says, though they often wont reject an application if a man has more than one wife.

Those first-cousin marriages certainly have potential to create quite a burden on Canadian social services, not to mention unnecessary suffering.....

Respecting people's cultural differences is one thing - it's quite another when those differences cross the line of basic human rights. I'm surprised any of the above marriages are considered genuine by CIC.
