Hello everyone . I am standing at 454 with spouse. We recently got married on 22nd of nov. But her passport doesn't has my last name and says "daughter of "instead of "wife of" . Is it mandatory to change her pasport details when ApplYing for PR? It is a very crucial moment for us as my work permit is expiring soon. Anyone in same boat can please help me. Really appreciate any responses.

Marriage certificate should be sufficient to prove your marriage. I dont think its required but usually it is advised for atleast one member to get the spouse name included into passport.

What do you mean at least one should have the spouse name? I kept my name after the marriage this is why i am asking.

In india, usually one can include spouse name in his/her passport.

Ohhh .. well i am not from india and we can legally keep our names as they were before marriage. So I kept mine. I do not have to include my husband's name in my id documents. But i wondered if this makes any difference iin the ee application...

Yes thats the reason i advised that the marriage certificate should be sufficient.

In india, women usually take last name of her husband but it is not compulsory. Many tend to keep their last name. :)
