spouse PR (she lost her passport in India)

Hi guys,

I need one advice. please help if anybody knows.
I am PR in canada. My wife is in india. I am going to apply the PR file of her this week in canada but she lost her passport there in india. Any advice do i need to submit PR file on last passport and reapply for new after that or I should wait for new passport.???? plz help
I was waiting for this day to apply the Spouse file but now I am confused. please help ....

I would say that it will be in own benefit to wait and apply until you have the new passport. Does it take that long to get a new passport?

Is photocopy of curent passort part of the required document? If not and if you have all the information you need in the lost passport, you could take the risk and apply now.

If you need pages of photocopy of the lost passport and you do not have them, then it's best to wait for the replacement passport and submit the application when you have ALL the required documents/ information.
