I just cannot believe that Abu Dhabi takes upto 27 mts to process. For a newly married couple how can the wife stay away from th husband for such a long time after marriage, its really hard to understand. They talk about brining the famalies together as soon as possible, but here they are taking their own time. Is it really a fact the husband and wife are away from each other for so long. please reply.

Not sure what to tell you there, it is what it is. Perhaps check the forum for others who have used that VO and see what their actual timelines were. For example, the posted time for the Trinidad office is 15 months, but the average I've seen on here is about 5-10 months. I believe Buffalo is also listed at 11 months, and many get through in 3-5. It all depends on the complexity of your case, completeness of your application, and various other factors that can influence the process, many of which are beyond our control. Best advice is to do your homework and prepare the best possible application you can and give yourself the best chance at being one of the faster ones.

Thanks Zouk for your response which seemed quiet positive. Have seen the forum of others using the same VO, but i guess it all depends under what category of family visa it is eg spouse or family or parents etc... just hope they it all goes thru soon.. Another question when our application for PR is in process, can one apply for a visit visa ?

No problem :)

Technically, yes...you can apply for the visitors' visa while your PR application is in progress, but it is unlikely that it will be approved, as they will know of the intention to immigrate.
