Hello,

I am in Canada and my wife and new born baby are back in India, i am planning to apply for the Canada PR for me and my family under the arranged employment catgory.

My question is once my file is approved and the visa office ask for the passport to stamp the PR visa, how should the situation be handled as my wife and son are back in india with their passport with themselves. Will i have to bring their passport with me to canada for this reason.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Biswa

your best bet would be first bring your spouse and child here on TRV and then apply for PR.

But they will only come here on Jan-2011 will that time be ok if i apply in the month of August 2010.

i believe you can apply for PR even if your wife and child are in india. when the visa office requests your passports, then just like you said, you can bring their passports with you to canada and get them and yours stamped.
