Hi, I've been following the forum and really amazed to see people helping each other out! I have a few questions and I hope to get answers that are not really available on other platforms.
I'm currently on PGWP (1.5 years done of 3 years), recently got married, and submitted my profile for Express Entry with a TEER 1 job experience. I haven't included my wife as an accompanying dependent as it reduces my CRS score. However, I want to bring my wife to Canada on OWP. My questions are:
1. Does she need to establish country tie and state that she would return to her home country at the end of her stay?
2. Does she need to prove that she has enough funds to support herself in Canada through her own savings and/or her parents' bank statements? Please note that I will provide my bank statements, pay stubs, employment letters etc. to prove that my income is sufficient for both of our living in Canada.
3. Is it going to be an issue that she is not included in my PR application but applying separately for the OWP?
Since outland spouses are not allowed to apply for OWP while their PR application is being processed, I want to bring her to Canada on OWP now. And later when I have my PR approved, I can sponsor her as my spouse. Then during her PR processing, she would be able to apply for the OWP again as an inland applicant.
I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.
