I finished my study and graduated in September 2021. I then applied my PGWP and it is under applied status.
SIN has expired but I am eligible to work full time under applied status. I am doing a NOC B job, have presented my offer letter and salary slips to CIC.
Currently just waiting for the approval letter. My spouse whose open work permit and SIN expired did not submit his
application when I submitted mine. Could he apply his work permit at the same time when I applied my PGWP? Or should he wait for 3 weeks
He is now on visitor visa and currently waiting for my approval and will then apply his work permit. Will his visitor status affect his 1 year experience for applying
PR next year, he started working in his NOC B job of accounting on 15 march 2021.
Please advise!

If you had 3 paytubs at the time when you were applying for your PGWP and if your spouse work permit was still valid at that time you could have applied at the same time. In order to be eligible to apply your supouse work permit at the same time you need to have 3 paystubs.

When you applied for PGWP and if you did not have 3 paystubs then your spouse needs to apply as soon as your PGWP approved (or at least your spouse show the proof that you have already applied PGWP with a letter of explanation) but his work permit must still be valid in order to continue working. Assuming you got your PGWP approval but your her/his work permit has already expired, then she/he can still apply but can not work anymore until the final decision. Your spouse must apply before his current work permit expire in order to continue working.

okay understood, and once he becomes on applied status of his open work permit. We will apply PR after his 1 year experience based os CEC as federal is closed. As his SIN is expired, can he do study or change his job after his 1 year experience while waiting for approval or does he need to wait once he gets the approval letter? Because nowadays processing time for open work permit is long he prefers to study in his program of interest and get a full time job with better salary.

Sorry I got confused. Did he already applied open work permit extension? If so he must have received an automatic letter that he is in implied status. Please read it carefully it must also says he can work until they make a final decision but he can not study.

It is expired. Last date 30 nov 2021.

OK Since you are working In NOC B job now after you got your 3rd paystub he will be eligible to apply. But he can not work or study until the final decision. He can not work even after applying because his current work permit was already expired.

Let say if husband apply W Permit after wife approval came then on Implied status he can continue job or not?
