Hello everyone,

if someone can provide some advice on the last items in the document checklist for Spouse Inland sponsorship:

Since we're not answering "yes" to all 4 of a-d in section 7 "Proof of relationship to sponsor", we must provide the documents listed on page 9. Photos and descriptions of them are not a problem, but the other documents seem less defined than the other sections.

- For "Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits)", is an employer benefit summary from the sponsor's employer showing that the PA is listed as a spouse for those benefits and beneficiary of life insurance provided through work is enough?
- For "Documentary evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor, and/or shared expenses", is a joint checking bank account statement and credit card statements showing that both the sponsor and the PA have their own credit cards on the sponsor's credit line enough?

I am asking as I do not want to check those boxes, only for the application to be sent back as incomplete if those don't qualify.

Also, my spouse, who is the PA (I'm a PR in Canada), is a US Citizen. I read that you can get the OWP done at the border, does anyone have experience with this in BC? Both times we crossed the border to go back to Canada, they almost denied her entry on the basis that she doesn't have a job in the US and isn't on the lease for her US apartment (since her roommates letted her live for free), and we are scared of going again to the border to ask for the OWP once we get the AOR.

The last time you crossed you didn’t apply for inland.
This time is different (when you have AOR). My husband got his OWP at the border too. BC borders I don’t know.

Thank you for the answer, any light to shed for my first questions? By searching around here, I think those documents I listed are enough to fit those boxes, but it doesn't hurt to have some more info.

In my view they’re good.
