Under present FSW program, for adaptability my spouse can get upto 5 points:

My doubts are:

1. Whether my wife's education will be considered?

2. What must be my spouse IELTS score in order to get at least 3 points out of the above 5 points?

At present my total points are 64 (Age - 12, Education - 21, Work Experience - 15 & IELTS - 16).

Please reply.

1. It is either 5 or 0, she requires CLB 4, R 3.5 L 4.5 W 4.0 and S 4.0
2. Only if she studied in Canada.

May sound like a stupid question but is it possible to claim adaptibility points (languange points for spouse) at a stage when the file is accepted by the CIO and being assessed.

So what I am trying to say is that spouse/partner gives the IELTS at a later date and then the pricipal applicant sends the score details to the VO...

Is this possible?

No - not possible. If you want the points, the IELTS results must be included with the original application. Otherwise no points.

Should be sent at the same time/together

Friends, can you please direct me to where it says that we cannot send the score after the file has been accepted. I was browsing the net and found a link.

Please read the adaptibility section (in the middle of the page)...

This is not the official CIC web site - it's some consutant's site. And the consultant's information is wrong. If your spouse's IELTS results aren't included with the original package - no points. That's how it works. You're obviously free to try if you disagree with us - but you'll be wasting your money and time.

I will never dare to disagree with the members of this worderful forum...I was just trying to have a discussion and I agree we should not rely on some consultant.....
