Hi Folks,
I am really confused with the document requirement for a spouse too. I am non-principal applicant while my spouse is principal. I don't have Canadian education or work experience in Canada, so my spouse cannot claim points for them. Correct me if I am wrong in statement and help me in advice.
You are correct.
It is clearly mentioned that you need to send copies of everything, because they don't return documents.
You are correct.
I cannot find many statements in Application guides when it comes to a non-principal applicant. For example, I didn't find information that a spouse who is not a main applicant, should send the following documents: ECA and graduation certificates, work experience letter and EILTS results. They only mention dependent applicant when they speak about proof of funds and identity and civil status. They do mention spouse's work experience and education, but only the one obtained in Canada. Can someone quote these statements for me, please.
Please refer to OINP Application Form, at the end of it, you shall find the checklist of documents (some are explicitly listed) which you need to tick off before sending the application package, for example 'evidence of good academic standing and length of program(s) completed (spouse or common-law partner only)'. However, if you are claiming points for your language skill, you will need to provide documentary evidence, though not mentioned in the Application Guide. The same would be applicable for ECA as well. Work experience if it is not Canadian, then you can ignore.
And can anyone give me a proper list of required documents
