My name is Ravi and I am student in Canada currently studying in second semester I just wanted to know when I got my Canada study visa I was single after that I got married between 3 to four days I mean I got married before landing in Canada. We have marriage certificate under marriage act. Can I sponsor my spouse as a tourist? Will it effect my Permanent residency if i sponsor my wife?. my spouse is living in India and we have no child as yet. i searched enough online and they say your PR will revoke at the end because you didn't put your spouse file etc. that is why i am so worried as you can understand, i do not have my spouse name on the passport and she too. Just let me know what are proofs required? What should i do please help me

Hi,

There's quite a bit of confusion here. A study permit and PR are two entirely different things. You have not "landed" on a study permit.

You have not applied for PR. So the question of your PR getting revoked because you did not declare your spouse does not arise. You must mention about your spouse when you apply for your PR.

You can certainly *invite* your wife to visit Canada as a tourist/visitor. You cannot *sponsor* her for a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa/visitor visa)

Cheers
