i think you are looking for a TRV http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp
with a CL PR application already pending, you will also have to prove that the applciant will be leaving the country at the end of the TRV, and will not overstay his visa. there have been previous posts about this and i suggest a quick read through them, since the VO may perceive the applicant as having no intention of leaving the country and staying with you, thus can refuse the TRV on that basis.
