Hi,

I am an Indian principal applicant and my wife Canadian citizen is the sponsor. We got married last year in Canada when I was visiting and after that had our reception in India. I work in Saudi Arabia so my wife had visited me there but she doesn't have a job currently in Canada right now. She is pursuing her grads.

My questions are-
1- What documents do we need to attach to support the finances other than bank balances as my wife is unemployed.
2- We have all pictures from our marriage event and every proof to support the application.

what forms do we need to fill and what are the things we need to consider and avoid.

Thanks :)

1. There are no formal requirements finances-wise. Savings and/or your prospects for employment as well as her plans will be taken into account.

As for tip: apart from reading the instructions and going through the forms:
-the checklist is the most succinct and useful doc for understanding what needs to be done.
-don't try and understand everything at once. Iterate. Go through and answer what you can, make notes of the things you don't understand, and come back to them later. Make notes of the things you need to get, and get/order them too.
-To find answers, go here or to the instructions (instructions first ideally).
-Later, go through the whole package, even the parts you did earlier, because some things you thought you answered correctly earlier will turn out to have a slightly different meaning.
-Check everything, twice, thrice, more. Submitting and having it sent back later because of omissions is a huge waste of time.
