Hi everyone just few questions please. I just got married february 2015 and just got back april here in canada again. When where and who should i notify about the changes of marital status? And is it really necessary to inform them first before sponsosring my husband?pls help and god bless you all

Congratulations!

If you have not yet submitted the sponsorship application package, you do not need to inform anyone at CIC. You should, however, change your filing status with CRA, if you haven't done so.

From your previous posts, it appears you are a landed immigrant already through one of the other immigration streams. You don't have to notify anyone except for CRA and perhaps Service Canada (update information on your SIN like your name, if you are changing your name).

If your marital status changes, you have the potential to become in-eligible for certain tax credits/rebates (GST, WTIB) and would be committing tax fraud.
