Hi everyone I am sponsoring my husband who is in India now and I am in Calgary, as I am pregnant now I am just wondering in case if the visa is not processed by my delivery/due date can he come in visiting visa while his sponsorship file is in process,is it possible for him to come by any means by my delivery date because its very important as I do not have any one in Canada.

Hi

I'm sorry to say there is pretty much no chance of him getting a visitor visa. With his wife and newborn child in Canada and a PR app in process, CIC would consider him to be at VERY high risk for overstaying.

hi thank you for your reply i am glad that some one responded to my problem. I guess I just need to wait for my husband nothing much can be done

Yes, unfortunately that's all you can do right now. I hope it works out for you, good luck :)

It doesn't hurt for him to apply for Visit Visa. Chances are slim though for him getting one.

Usually, NDVO completes some, if not most, applications within 10 months period.

He can try. i know some people who were approved for visit visa. they just spent "A LOT". I also know someone who got denied of visit visa (she's married to a Canadian). It is case to case basis and it depends on the discretion of the visa officer who will assess your case.the thing is, he has to prove strong ties to India to be able to get a visit visa, which i am afraid he'll have difficulty in doing so... you can try, who knows? you won't loss anything except for a few hundred dollars and a bit of your time.
