I have a question:
I wish to sponcer my wife to go to canada
I am sending this email because the information web page at Canada embassy in Beijing don’t seem to have the information I am seeking I havw asked many people but now one has been able to help me .

Relationships that are not eligible

You cannot be sponsored as a spouse, a common-law partner or a conjugal partner if:

•you (or your sponsor) were married to someone else at the time of your marriage

Under who can’t apply it states that someone who was marred can’t remarry and apply as a sponsor,.

So the question is how do I sponsor my wife to go to Canada is there a way around it.

I have been in Tianjin now 10 years we have two children

Who I wish can have their schooling in Canada.

Can you help…

Is there a statured of limitations on the time

Sincerely

1. If you married your present wife, while you were married to someone else, then that is bigamy so the marriage is not valid.
2. So if that is the case and you have been living together for 10 years, you can sponsor her as a Common/law partner.
3. If you were a Canadian citizen at the time of the children's birth, then you just need to apply for "proof of citizenship for the children.

Hi and thanks for the reply. both kids have passporet as Canadian citizens and I am one also.
My first wife walked out the door a week or so later she came back to get all of her things, so in spirit she left me on papper it took longer.
