I have read a number of posts on the forum about PR Card holders and Canadian citizens applying for immigration sponsorship for their spouses, or posts from the CIE website about the theoretic concept of such applications. But I was hoping to get some responses from people who have actually been through this process themselves, while living in Pakistan.

My family's situation is as follows, we are a family of three. My husband is a Canadian citizen by the process of naturalization, he lived in Canada for over 13 years and moved to Pakistan in 2003 due to the need to support his parents. We got married in 2009 and had a daughter in 2011, who is a Canadian citizen by passport as well. Now it is just me left and my husband would like to sponsor me for my immigration. Now, he would like to do so without having to leave my daughter and me and move to Canada. I know in theory it is said that showing intention to move is enough for the Canadian High Commission in Islamabad, but is it really? Personal experience responses would be so appreciated.

I am at a bit of a loss as I do want the processing to begin, but I do not want to face a rejection, I want to get it right from the get go. My husband will indeed move with me when the time comes, and we will handle everything honestly, but as of now he has not applied for a job in Canada (as god knows when the PR visa will come), and we have no residence, etc.

Quick and detailed responses will be much appreciated!

Thanks.
