My spouse was denied a visitors visa twice during November and December of 2018. When we received the immigration officers notes in February the consultant that we used reviewed the documents, it described no reasoning for the denial. The immigration consultant informed us that the only way he would be able to visit and potentially immigrate to Canada is if we were to get married. Although we initially planned to get married in August, we applied for the certificate and ended up getting married in February before I left. Fast forward to today, we are using a lawyer to assist us with the spousal sponsorship process. My issue is, the lawyer wants us to have support letters from family and friends to support our application. She also wants supporting documentation. We do not share any expenses however, he does send me money on occasion. She wants pictures from our wedding however, our ceremony only involved us. He has a wonderful job (self employed) and though our own examination, there was no reason for him to be denied.
How can I provide enough documentation to prove our relationship is genuine when he and I were the only ones at our ceremony. We do plan to have a bigger wedding soon with our entire families but I really need him here as soon as possible.
