Hi. I'm just worried about my application.. I have read it somewhere that being an illegitimate child slow down the process? Is that true? My mom is now married and using the surname of my stepfather.. Does it affect my application?
One more thing, my husband has been umemployed for 3months now.. Though he already got approved as sponsor last year but still im worried that it might affect our application? Please help me

I assume youre the principal applicant (the one being sponsored). I don't see how your status of being an illegitimate child should affect your husband's sponsorship of you. All you need is a birth certificate. Your parents having different names wouldnt be an issue (my mom and dad divorced and my mom remarried and used my stepfathers last name.) The status of your parent's relationships is not the concern of CIC. You said you read it somewhere, can you post what you read here so we can analyze it?

Remember that in spousal sponsorships, CIC is more concerned about how genuine and strong your relationship is to the sponsor. They want to see proof that your marriage is real. That is their primary concern. After that, they are concerned about your identity and security background (and NOT if one is legitimate or not). Again, if you can post what you read here, I am sure a few more experts will chime in.

Since you have an SA, i think you'll be fine. Unemployment does not necessarily lend to rejection BUT if you do get interviewed, you may need to prove how youre going to sustain a life in Canada once you and your husband are together (youre going to have to show you guys have the skills to quickly get a job or put up a business).

Goodluck. :)

Hi

IRCC doesn't care if you are illegitimate.

His unemployment won't affect the app.

Awww thank you so much guys. I really appreciate your answers. Thank you and God bless
