Spousal Sponsorship plus visitor Visa extention/Important question

Hello Folks,

I am in need of some important advice.

I am an Canadian CItizen and we already submitted our sponsorship
application including an open work permit for her to cic on August 13, 2019.(recieved)
We have not heared anything from CIC yet as of now but understand it
can take up to 6 weeks till you gey your application arrived email.

My wife`s Visitor Visa expires on September 23 rd and also the Kids.( 7 and 4 years old)

We understand that we have to apply for an visitor extension visa for her and the Kids.
The Process seems straight forward but i came across a problem in regards to the Kids.

If I add them as " do you want to submit an application for a Family member ?"
it then asks me about their overall staying time in Canada which they would exceed the 6 months because they are already here over 5 months, and therefore it would require a medical.
It does not have an issue with the principle applicant in this matter.

Or do have to create a seperate profile and submit application for each Kid seperatly???

If they came from a risk country, they should all recieve the request for a medical in order to stay more than 6 months as visitors, your wife included. It is not an error.

They are from the Ukraine.
But its not requesting a medical for My Wife.
Only for the Kids which sounds strange

It should. You may have answered something incorrectly for her.

Assume these are your step kids. They also would need to pay international tuition.

Why would you answer less than 6 months? She is staying longer.

Assume these are your step kids. They also would need to pay international tuition.

Up to individual schools but generally most allow the step-kids of a Canadian to attend for free without study permits, especially when there is a PR app in process.
