I applied for Spousal sponsorship on December 6th, 2021 through the new IRCC Portal. It has been the third month and I haven't received the AOR so I am not able to check the application progress. I reached out to IRCC customer service yesterday to get an update and provided the name and date of birth, but the officer said they don't find that application on file. It is unsettling to hear that and I am worried about the application. The IRCC portal shows the application as submitted so there is no way to understand what happened to the application. I would like to know what will be the next best course of action would be? should I reapply? We lost some time already waiting for an update and I would also like to know if we can use the same visa application fee receipt that I got when I initially applied for the PR?
I was also thinking of applying for the visit visa, but without the UCI number, it seems to be a risk.
