:) Goodmorning all,
hoping for a little help on this one please, both my husband and I are living in the UK and are in the process of buying a house in Canada (due to complete on march 30th)
He is my sponsor, .. now does he need to fill in the sponsorship evaluation form? i thought i read somewhere that as he's outside Canada he didn't need to do this?
Also although we have joint bank accounts the majority of money is in my bank thanks to an inheriritance in my sole name ... and we need to sell our house in the uk (when we get PR .. and that will go into our joint account) ... but what it means untill then is that in his account he doesn't have that much money? not quite sure how that works ... any advice appreciated :) many thanks cath

All sponsors must complete the forms as listed here to sponsor a spouse: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

He is not required to show a certain minimum income to sponsor you, so the precise level is not as important as submitting all the information required in the various forms. You may attach the information regarding savings and future plans separately, as proof you are able to establish yourselves in the short-to-medium term.

Thanks for your reply, i'm guessing I must have seen the bit about people in Quebec not needing to fill it in .
Wishing you all good luck :)
