Hi,

I am applying for Spousal Sponsorship PR and providing 20 pages of WhatsApp chats as a supporting document. These chats although written in English letters, however they are actually words in Bengali/Hindi language. Do I still need to have them translated to English words by certified translator ?

Yes. If you want the officer to consider it as proof it needs to be in English or French.

This question has been answered so many times.

From IRCC

In all situations, supporting documents that are in a language other than English or French must be accompanied by an official translation of the original document, or of a certified copy of the original document in English or French.

That translation must be:

of the original document, or
of the certified copy of the original document, and
certified by a certified translator, or in the event that the translation cannot be provided by a certified translator, it must be accompanied by an affidavit, and
included with the application
