Hello there,

I am from India and my Wife is a PR holder, currently settled in Alberta. We have submitted our application to get my PR-Visa on February 2018 and have completed the medical tests on April itself. Now the status shows "Background Check in progress" and normal processing time for dependency VISA is 10-12 months.

Is there any way to travel to Canada now? I have already tried for Visitor VISA for 3 times and all the 3 times it got rejected. The main reason for Rejection was because of not having a "travel history" and could not satisfy "the purpose of visit". Please help/advise me if anyone can.. Thanks in advance..

With three rejected TRVs, assume you'll have to wait out the processing of the application in your home country.

The other two options are a work permit or study permit. Work permits require a job offer and approved LMIA which are extremely difficult to get. Study permit will almost certainly be refused like the TRVs.
