Hi everyone. I applied for SWOP on mid of March 2019 .My VFS office that I applied is Abudhabi. When I did the tracking in the Canadian embassy site it shows as still processing. But my friends who applied very lately got the visa. Can anybody guide me why it is getting delayed and how long it will take.

Nobody can know for sure. Different officers just work at different paces it would seem. You can try calling them to find out what's going on, specifically. I wouldn't imagine any of us would know why it's being delayed, or why, or how long it would take. Every application's different from my understanding.
You can only apply for an OWP as part of the inland application. It sounds like you are not inside Canada - since you're saying your visa office is Abudhabi?
The full PR process takes around 12 months. There are no OWPs issued for Outland sponsorship.
Is your wife in Canada on a work or study permit? If so, you're posting in the wrong section of the forum and need to post to the International Students or Foreign Workers section of the forum.
