Sponsorship of Spouse within Canada-Acknowledgement of Application -HELP!

Hello to all,

I sent my application to sponsor my spouse in February 2014 to CP-C Mississauga (P.O. Box 5040, Station B ,ON,L5A 3A4) via Canada Post Courier and have the proof of delivery. Whenever I try to check my application status online, it cannot locate my file. When I call the CIC help centre they still cannot locate my file. The CIC help centre reps tell me that I should have received my letter of acknowledgement by now-but they cannot advise as to why I have not...They tell me they can only "look into" my case if it has been almost a year (or 11 months as the processing time today states). As you can likely relate, is terrifyingly stressfull to think I may waste a year of processing time due to a potential hick-up.

Can someone please share if it has been over 4 months that they sent their application packages to CPC Missisagua and have you gotten a letter of acknowledgement yet? Or those of you that have, how long did it take? I desperately need some kind of piece of mind, if any is to be had ???

I believe this wait time for inland applications is pretty normal. My suggestion is to check out the inland application threads for 2013 and 2014 to see which month of applicants have been receiving AOR.

Review that spreadsheet. My initial response was wrong, but you should be getting AOR pretty soon

Thank you so much for responding. Becki567-thank you for this helpful spreadsheet. By the looks of this, it should be coming any day. It is interesting that it appears right in February is when the delays of AOR's began to occur....just my luck :'(
