Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help or is experiencing the same.....
Application for common law (canadian living outside canada) application sent to canada as UK do not process anymore.
I am a canadian citizen living in UK (dual citizenship) we sent all relevant paperwork off to CIC Ontario back in July 2014 (Royal Mail tracked) it was delivered but we still haven't heard anything. We have checked our payment receipt no. And it states that nothing is processing/or hasn't been received. We then have sent an email to canadian immigration = ldnimmigration@international.gc.ca with a expected wait of reply up to 28 days (it's been 2 weeks since the email sent)
Is there anything else we can do, I am worried that we're in the fourth month of waiting and it may have been forgotten or lost etc
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

London won't have your application or know status yet (it looks like that's who you emailed). You should be contacting Mississauga (where your application was originally sent.).

You should be calling CIC. I believe during 1st stage processing at CPC-Mississauga, even the CIC call centre agents have access to some of your info. It's once the file is transferred to the outland visa office that the call centre becomes useless.

You applied roughly the same time as us and we received SA at the end of August so something Is definitely not right. Have you checked your email/junk mail as the sponsor tends to receive an email advising of the SA. A couple of problems which people faced around that time were CIC getting Outland and inland apps confused as well as people having the application sent back to them as CIC updated some of the forms at the end of June and people were still submitting the old forms.

Hopefully you will get a response soon.

Still heard nothing starting to get frustrated now, anyone have any ideas on contacting CIC or CPC?

Three things you could try:

1. Send another email
2. Call the contact centre (not sure if you can do this from UK but you could give it a go)
3. Do you have any family that could contact their MP to enquire on your behalf?

Which address did you send it to? They may have mixed it up with the inland applications.

I never could find an email for CPC-M so my husband called his MP. I'd do that or call the call center. CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca is the email address that Ottawa uses to contact me for anything needed. They will need your file number, names and birthdays to find your file (if they have it). Hopefully this helps,

Call the hotline and/or send an email to question@cic.gc.ca asap. Something is definitely wrong here

There have been reports of outland applications being wrongly sent to the inland 'pile' then moved back to outland when the error is discovered which takes longer as you shift in the queue, thus lengthening your wait time. I know of at least one person that happened to and I'm fairly sure mine did as well but I haven't seen my notes yet. I would most definitely call CIC and call your local ( in Canada) MP to have them look into it as well.
