Sponsorship Evaluation Form Question

I'm applying to sponsor my wife (we live in Tokyo and will be moving back to Canada in 2015). We will also be moving there with our 5-year-old daughter. I'm finding the Sponsorship Questionnaire somewhat confusing, and just wanted to make sure that I've filled these sections out correctly. I'm specifically struggling with the section regarding "Number of Family Members and Persons Included in Undertakings....".

Assuming that all 3 of us are moving there together:

4. - 1
5. A) - 3
5. B) i) - 0
ii) - 0
iii) - 0
iv) - 0
6. A) - 0
B) - 0
7. - 4

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
 
Is your child a Canadian citizen or is she being sponsored as well? (if you are a Canadian citizen by birth or a naturalized Canadian, then your daughter is automatically a Canadian citizen herself - but don't forget to apply for her Proof of Citizenship certificate). There are 2 options:

a) If your child is a Canadian citizen already:

4. - 1
5. A) - 1
5. B) i) - 0
ii) - 0
iii) - 0
iv) - 0
6. A) - 0
B) - 0
7. - 2

b) If your child is not a Canadian citizen and your are sponsoring her as a dependent of your wife:

4. - 1
5. A) - 2
5. B) i) - 0
ii) - 0
iii) - 0
iv) - 0
6. A) - 0
B) - 0
7. - 3

This is incorrect. If the child is Canadian, she must be included in the count in 6B and her details listed on the next page.

Also, on the Sponsorship Evaluation, #5 a) states number of persons included in box #3 of the Generic Application Form for Canada under section APPLICATION DETAILS.

On THAT form, in section #3, it states "How many family members, including you, are in this application?"

That form would include my wife (applicant), myself (it states that you must include spouse as a dependent) and our child.

Surely that would make the number for #5 a) 3, would it not?

So confused.......

Hi there :) GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA is the form for the Applicant (your wife) and the dependent (your daughter). So the answer to #3 is 2. ;D

You are correct, my mistake.

No one can provide you with a proper answer until you give us the relevant information. Is your child Canadian or does your child need to be sponsored along with your wife?
 
For the purposes of the application, "family members" refers ONLY to those being sponsored. You and your child are not being sponsored, so you are not included in the application.

When it asks "How many family members, including you, are in this application?", only your wife is.

It should look like this:

4) - 1
5A) - 1
5Bi) - 0
5Bii) - 0
5Biii) - 0
5Biv) - 0
6A) - 0
6B) - 1

7) - 3
