Hi everyone,

My parents are divorced and I know that I need to send two separate applications for each of them (mother and father separately).
Guide 5772 says:

Mailing instructions
  1. We don’t accept multiple applications in one package. If you’re sending more than one application, please package them individually.
However, how will they know that I am sending 2 applications if I have to send each one separately? Should I add an explanation letter at the top of my application saying that I have sent two applications? Or should I send both applications in one package since they are both my parents?

Also, for dates in the forms: they always say: 1. print, 2. sign and date. But is it fine to put the date on the computer? Or they only accept it handwritten?

Thank you in advance.

Per the instructions you quoted, you have to send the two applications in two separate packages.

I will send them in two separate package. But should I send two separate package within one big envelope? They say to package them individually but they do not specify to SEND them individually.
Because it does not make sense to send each one to two different agent and they wont know that I have 2 applications going on no?

If I were you, I would send two separate package within one big envelope and send it to the processing center. Don't forget to make all supporting documents twice since you have 2 separate applications.
